The goal of the workshops at Oya's Room is to explore visual art, poetry, and music through a myriad of interesting interdisciplinary paths. In this series of workshops, you will use your spiritual instinct and memory to embark on a creative journey that will yield tangible evidence of your explorations.

Workshop Information
Classes begin January 20, 2007 and will run for six sessions. The cost per workshop is $40.00. A six course session (total 18 hours) is $200.00. Your materials are provided and include workbook, bibliography and supply list.

Women In The Movement – Female Figures of Freedom: A conversation with visual artists, Lynn Marshall-Linnemeier and author, Tina McElroy Ansa
Join noted historian and educator, Gloria Wade-Gayles as she engages two of the nations most prolific artists in a conversation on female figures of freedom. Starting from Ms. King, ending at the strength in women past and present who have been the keepers of our dreams for freedom, audiences will be inspired by these women and their power. Conversation moderated by author and Spelman College Professor, Gloria Wade-Gayles.
